Just curious if any of you have used the table that is offered on Realtree's web site, and if you do how accurate is it?

Used to believe in them.. IMHO, I think its bull.. but if it works for u, more power to ya.. the only way for me to understand when the deer are moving, is to get my butt into the woods!!

I've seen some correlation, not enough to use it religiously.

They show the same times as my GPS, and I'm with Tominator on this one.

I have tried using it without much success.
I think the deer around here also read the charts, to know when we are supposed to be in the woods.

Usually I do better if I just get out there regardless of what the chart says.
I've never killed a deer yet while I'm sitting on the couch.

Deer move when deer feel like moving. No chart is going to tell them to move. They move because they are hungry, looking for place to rest, out of fear, and for socialization. They do not move because a chart says that the moon and earth's gravitational pulls are going to tug at their ear at a certain time.

If you are going to pay attention to anything to predict deer movement, then watch the weather. A sudden front moving through will often get deer up before and right after a storm so they can feed or seek better shelter.

Did you ever notice cows laying down. If you see one more than likely the rest are doing the same. I have noticed that even miles down the road the cows would be laying down. The opposite happens also. Did you ever notice armadillos out in force in a field and one hour later see none. I think there is something to this but these animals are not hunted and have no pressure on them. I think the weather has a major effect and use that all the time to help me out. On a full moon I do hunt the middle of the day and see more deer at that time then I do at daylight and dusk. Other than that just be out there whenever you can. That is the best time to hunt.

Iwas just curious.I did notice that earlier in the season, the charts in the NAHC magazines were almost right on. But once the deer feel the hunting pressure you can throw those charts out the door.

One thing is for sure. The deer are always there and they always have to feed, drink water, sleep and travel to do any of those things and they do all of them during the day and night, not just the night. If you set up right, hunt as much as you can no matter what the weather and have a little luck on your side, you can harvest any deer no matter within legal confines.
