Bet that got a little attention. lol.

Just a yote, but at least got to kill something with it this year.  Keeps the streak of killing going since got the gun in 2012.  With limited opportunities this year and our rifle opening this weekend doubt i even make it back out with the muzzleloader, so no deer with it this year.

Running away shot between trees and through some briar tangles.  The 240 grain interlock made a mess of him.

If it is legal there Ruth, kill em all.  Their population can explode in no time, and they will hunt and kill deer.  Had been a pair running less than a minute behind deer on my trail cams up to before I shot this one.  Saw one this morning at 8:45, but no chance for a shot.

I was just recently reading an article from 1996 where they estimated the number of coyotes in Vermont was around 3000, now F&W estimates around 30,000! Thankfully we don't have a closed season on them, but at this point, that horse is already out of the barn. I get them all the time on camera, and have tried a couple times to shoot one from the stand, but they've been faster than me!  Also of interest to me is the difference between Eastern coyote and the Western. More wolf DNA in the Eastern yote...

Have read the same thing, guess that might be in part why they are also larger than the typical western yotes.
