What's your favorite turkey mount?

Recommended Posts

Alright guys, help me out.If I get a mature bird this season I'm going to get a full mount. I have been reviewing pictures on the web and can't make up my mind on the pose I want (there are so many). I really like the flying mounts, but a strutting Tom is hard to beat. There are also some nice half strutting birds out there. So post some pictures of what you like the best and maybe a short note explaining why. A couple I thought looked pretty good below:

Flying mounts can be awsome but as NY bowhunter14 said they do eat up wall space. Full struts are cool but the neatest mount I've seen is a roost mount with the turkey on a branch hanging on the wall. But the neat thing is when you get your Tom, you get to mount him how you like it.

I like a mix. Theres some posted just before me that look great. I do like a strutting bird for sure and I have a couple of flying birds (Osceola & Rio) mainly because I didn't know anyone at the time locally that I felt did great mounting a strutter. Sent the Merriam off to Calley Morris in Missouri.
